After gaining his PhD in pharmacology from the London Institute of Psychiatry (part of King's College), Gavin Kilpatrick has worked for over 25 years in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors. His main focus has been on developing new drugs targeting ligand-gated ion channels and G-protein coupled receptors. He has authored or co-authored more than 80 academic publications. Gavin has led multiple drug discovery projects to clinical trials and held senior management positions at GSK, CeNeS, Roche and Takeda. He was also a founder of the biotechnology company TheraSci Ltd and a board member of the listed German biopharmaceutical company, PAION AG.
